Mild side effects from the COVID-19 vaccine are normal. During the development of the COVID-19 vaccines, safety was the top priority. No steps were skipped, and the vaccines were rigorously tested. Clinical trials for COVID-19 vaccines didn’t find any specific safety concerns for any one group of people. This means the vaccine is safe for people of all of the ages that were studied, and for any race, ethnicity, those who have underlying medical conditions, and people who have already been infected with the virus that causes COVID-19. And while side effects are possible, the most important thing to remember is that the benefits of getting vaccinated outweigh the risks of getting COVID-19.

Despite cases on the rise, Montagu Clinic is a leader in the fight against #COVID19. Help us keep the curve down by washing hands, physically distancing, wearing a mask, and getting tested. Every decision makes a difference. Keep yourself safe. Keep your loved ones safe. Stay safe always.

If you are sharing at your home, with people outside your home, wear masks and open a window. Venting a room greatly reduces the likelihood of getting COVID from a carrier.

If you’re gathering in the house with people outside of your immediate household, wear masks and open  windows! Ventilating a room takes the likelihood of getting COVID from a carrier down significantly.

With hospitals at capacity, schools closed, and loved ones unable to spend quality time together, the need for a COVID-19 vaccine has never been more urgent. Once the vaccine is available, everyone who is able to should take it! The sooner we all vaccinate, the sooner we can relieve the pressures on our communities.

When you aren’t in school or part of essential services workforce, please stay home! Staying home whenever possible is the best way to flatten the curve and conquer #COVID.
